Incident and accident can happen to anyone we can never predict them but yes we can be prepared for them or reduce their chances.

Many people get their phone stolen, hacked or something more worse.

Here are some tips, how you can reduce chances to be on the list

👉 KEEP IT LOCKED

One potential threat is getting your device is stolen, which could give the thief complete access to your personal information.

To prevent this, be sure to have a lock on your screen. When enabling a lock screen you’ll have the option to choose how long the phone can be idle before locking. Be sure to choose the shortest amount of time

👉 CHOOSE A STRONG PIN

Losing your phone is probably not uncommon, and having a secure passcode will keep your phone safe from anyone who might happen to find it. Passcode or pattern can be cracked easily but it takes time and lot of work to crack fingerprint or face recognition security.

👉 USE VPN

Public Wifi are feast for those hungry cybercriminals, they can steal your data with it. ake sure you keep your Wifi secure to prevent others from accessing your network. To stay safe while using public wifi, be sure to connect to a virtual private network or VPN.

VPNs essentially provide you with a secure phone connection to a private server, instead of you having to share it with everyone else on the public network. This means that your data is safer because it is encrypted as it travels from server to server.

👉 DON'T USE THIRD PARTY APPS

When you are downloading apps, be sure to download them from the official app stores and check reviews. As downloading file can contain hazardous malware which can damage your mobile phone. To avoid this trap, be sure to look at the number of reviews, last update and contact information of the organization.

👉 ENABLE DATA ENCRYPTION

Data encryption can protect your information from hackers by scrambling it in a code they don’t recognize as it travels from server to server (when it’s most vulnerable). Many devices already have encryption enabled, if your device doesn’t, you’ll need to set that up.

👉 AVOID ROOTING

Don't root your phone because rooting can cause serious damage on your device. It'll end your warranty and will increase security threat risk. You are more prone to glitches after rooting and the phone company would not be responsible for it.

👉 KEEP SYSTEM UPDATED

Mobile phone operating system updates are intended to improve your experience. These updates can protect both iOS and Android devices from newly discovered threats. It also improves speed of your device and fixes the bugs.
